2023 Jaded Blossom Challenge: January - ANYTHING GOES

Greetings & Happy New Year! 

One of my dearest friends from high school just turned 50 this week. I was at a crossroads about what to make her and then I remembered the Hey Chickie set and I got to creatin'.

I made my own background with the girl and boy chicks. Then chalked a girl chick with a darker yellow chalk, cut out a bow in dark lavender paper and sparkle to it. I love how it turned out.

NFL Gnomes Get Well Cards

One of my trivia partners saw my Tampa Bay Buccaneer gnome birthday card and fell in love. She asked me if she could buy one for her friend who just had surgery and has season tickets to the Bucs. They are my team since 1974. So I gladly made her a card for her friend.

 

Then I was inspired to make a card for my friend's wife who is a huge Raiders fan and was recently diagnosed with cancer. I made her a get well card.

Santa Gnome Card

Hey there Gnomies! Is anyone else obsessed with the JB Gnome Dies? I can't stop playing with them. I owe thanks to my mom who saw these dies and purchased them for me to make her a birthday card for her dearest friend. That is what got my crafty mojo back. Now at the time I made this card, Jaded Blossom did not have the Christmas Gnome set out yet, so I made do and made my own Santa gnome. He came out so cute!

Good Evening...I'm about ready to turn in for the night, but not before I share my blingy Minnie Mouse Thank You card I made to thank Summerlin Jewelers in Las Vegas, NV for picking me to win a Citizen Minnie Mouse watch back in May! All I had to do was share my favorite Disney memory and wait 24 hours for them to randomly pick a winner and it was me! OMG this watch is so dang cute! And it goes so well with all the pink outfits I own!

May the 4th (oops it was the 6th) Birthday

Greetings! So my goal when I first started here was to make a handmade birthday card for trailer staff every month there was a birthday...I missed a few since some don't want to celebrate their day, other I just write it down, lose the paper and try to remember the correct day, which is what happened with this one. David, another superintendent's birthday is actually May 6th, not May 4th like I thought, but he loved his Darth Vader card nonetheless.

Classy, Sassy and a bit Smart Assy...

Hello folks! How have you been? I'm a bit under the weather this week, stupid summer cold. But I'm still in the mood to craft and so I did. I have been thinking a lot about my sassy friend Cheryl lately and her beautiful daughter recently moved back to Florida to be closer to her mom. I made Cheryl the funnest card and I'm sending her one to give to her daughter, Alex.

Vacuum Card

Happy Sunday Kids!

Just wanted to share a card I made for my co-worker Mariela. She is so sweet and always says hello Jennifer to me when she works the same days. I say hola Mariela to her. Her English is okay she tries and I try my broken Spanish on her too occasionally. Well a few weeks ago, the vacuum she uses was damn near falling apart, held together with duct tape and barely sucked up lint on the carpet. So I thought I'd make her a card with the kawaii vacuum and cute sentiment from Jaded Blossom stamps! I tried to use Google translate for the sentiment but it got lost in translation. Needless to say she still liked the card and was not offended LOL!

Tateonna's Graduation Card

My final card for today...a graduation card for my 2nd daughter (my daughter's BFF). Last month she turned 18 and now she's graduating high school! There are a few flaws but I'm pressed for time as I'm trying to get this done before I have to go to work, yes, I'm missing her graduation :( I am SOOOO PROUD of Tateonna and her accomplishments! Love you Tater Tot!

Beach Boy 1 Thank You Card

Happy Saturday! Unfortunately today is my Monday since I have to work today. Bleh! Today I bring you a thank you card I made this card for one of our temporary residents at the RV Resort, his nickname is Beach Boy 1, and he's such a charismatic character! I bought him a slice of apple pie from our cafe because he had been missing it with his afternoon naps (he's battling cancer) and he surprised me with a $50 Buffalo Wild Wings gift card, unfortunately he left before I could give him this card. So I got this in the mail today. He works for the Beach Boys and offered to get me 4 tickets to the show here in Vegas in September. I can't wait!
