Today I made this sweet card for my cousin. I live in NV "The Silver State" and she lives in Georgia "The Peach State". She moved to Atlanta to take a job a Georgia State a year ago. We usually play phone tag when we try talking and I haven't sent her any happy mail for a while. I hope she likes it. :)
I whipped up this card today for my Aunt Linda who had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago. She's doing so well she's already home and ahead of schedule for her therapy.
So today I went WAY out of my comfort zone to try my hand at a stitched card. I was inspired by Gigi's Rainbow Dash card a while back on the SVG Cutting Files Galleria. I was doing great until I started to thread the needle. Oy vay! This was so challenging because I suffer from hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating of the hands. As a crafter I get frustrated that my hands can ruin a project or a piece of paper. I tried jewelry making and it was a total disaster. Sewing isn't my thing either. It took me a while to get each color threaded, but I did it, after many deep breathing exercises. I'm THRILLED how it turned out!
I love that I have a week off between summer school and the fall semester. My laundry is piling up but I'm having fun being creative! My only daughter will be a senior on Monday so I'm not sure how to deal with that. She'll always be my baby girl though. She hates it when I baby her so I made her this cute first day of school treat. She has issues with hypoglycemia - this cute nugget easel card is filled with some chocolate for her first day as a senior.
My friends know that I have a sick sense of humor and nothing is off limits. Special thanks to Barbara Pahl Rouse for the inspiration for her cute use of the Poopeez files! So my sweet daughter is starting her senior year on Monday and what's better than kickin' off a new school year with some encouragement. I can't stop laughing at this card and Monday won't get here soon enough for me. I used her school colors teal and purple for school spirit and the penny slider for the wafting effect of a stink bomb.
So remember how I said I was early with the birthday card for my dear friend? Well I decided to make her a nugget easel card like Candace made in the BFF Hop. Since she's a florist I couldn't think of a better treat box and sentiment.

Happy Sunday! Today I bring you an adorable birthday card with a nostalgic feel and a pair of BFF's. My first and dearest friend from the 2nd grade is Tracy Ciganek (Swart), we met back in Florida in 1979 and are still the best of friends today. She is the owner of Elegant Blooms in Naperville, IL. We were inseparable back then and we LOVED everything Garfield!

I love a good pun and this sentiment is perfect for the cutest gopher birthday card! It reminds me of the cute gopher from Caddyshack which always brings a smile to my face. :)
Happy Belated Bird-Day to my Auntie! I was short on time and whipped up this quick birthday card for my mom's twin sister before I took my mom and daughter to the airport so she could visit her this week. I know she will love it since flamingos are her favorite bird.
I made another card for my birthday stash! Elsa from Frozen is awesome! I am partially biased because Cymbre Walk (the little girl I used to baby sit) is now a grown up and works for Disney as a casting assistant. I couldn't be more proud of her!
I've been so busy lately with my summer course I didn't want to forget to wish my beautiful momma a happy birthday (and her twin Janice)! I won't say how young you are, but thanks for those genes that make me look young too!
