SVG Cutting Files: Birthday Card Challenge #2

I could not pass up a fun challenge, so when I saw the free files for the birthday challenge I squealed! In order to get Candace's Indiana Jones free file, you needed to submit a second birthday card. Candace's card with Indiana Jones was sssssssssssssuper cute!

Oh how I long to have skills like the SVG Cutting Files Design Team when I make cards and such!

My second submission is for my other best friend (we go way back too, back to 1988). Shannan's birthday is on Halloween and I always make her a Halloween Birthday card. This year is no different. We have been vampire lovers since the 1992 movie Bram Stoker's Dracula (maybe before that for her since she's the reader). I chose the Vampire Fangs and welded it into a card, used Glossy Accents for the dripping blood (it's hard to see) and again I used the Silhouette Pen Holder to write the sentiment, "HAVE A FANGTASTIC BIRTHDAY" using the Biker Bones font.

Thanks for stopping by!

SVG Cutting Files: Birthday Card Challenge #1

So it's been a while since I posted, because I'm back in school. Who can resist such an easy challenge at SVG Cutting Files? This month, until October 14, you can submit your birthday card with one of their store bought files (NO HOP FREEBIES) and you can earn the fabulous Chibi Princess Leia that Michelle made.

She has some amazing talents! So my first submission is the Bag of Chips Slider Card. This card will go to my long time friend (we go way back to 1979) Tracy who is a famous floral designer in Chicago, IL. If you want quality floral designs check out her site, Elegant Blooms.  Normally I would make her a floral card, but she just turned...my age and she looks amazing! So I chose the Bag of Chips Slider card and the Jaded Blossom Funny Valentine Sentiment Set.

My mom recently purchased the Silhouette Pen Holder and I tried it out for the first time with a red PaperMate Flair pen using the AR Christy font. I haven't figured out how to shade in the font yet, but I still like the way it turned out. :) Happy Belated Birthday Tracy!
